To say that this idea of holding a walk in Phoenix has been around for sometime is an understatement. It’s a LARGE understatement.
Unbeknownst to one another, Lori Price (an entrepreneur, mother, and wife) and Maggie Pingolt (a journalism student at the Walter Cronkite School) were both dreaming the same dream: bring eating disorder awareness to Phoenix, Arizona in the form of a walk.
Maggie had been dreaming of holding a walk since the beginning of her own recovery process and figured doing it for her Honor’s thesis would be the best way to get it done. Lori Price began her journey into recovery and saw the same answer post-treatment.
Both have learned through their own struggles, the importance of sharing their new outlook on life and have committed to making an impact on a city that isn’t as aware and active in advocacy for eating disorders as it should be.
Lori and Maggie, have decided to spread the word. And here they are.
